Tilton School in the 90s: the Plus 5 program, Sophomore Wilderness, the daily chores and must-dos. Looking back, I value the investment in our character and perseverance (and Mr. Didsbury, who taught me to love reading and writing).

Tilton changed my life and I will forever be grateful for the opportunities this school gave me. Go rams!

Shoutout to Brisson — someone who’s inspired me since I was young and continues to inspire everyone around her. Your love and passion for Tilton and for basketball is unmatched, and it’s a huge part of why I felt drawn to come here in the first place. Being part of this community means so much to me — and what an incredible community it is. What would Tilton be without you? THANK YOU for the years and years, hours and hours...a staggering amount of work endlessly engaging, probing, challenging minds...of teenagers! I wouldn't know where to start! I couldn't teach if my life depended on it and wish I'd had a teacher like you back in my day. You define what it means to be thoughtful, and invite students in, to be part of the conversation and reflection but get them to meet you halfway, to step up to the plate... It's hard work on both your and their parts, but the discoveries they make of themselves and of the world out there are priceless. You are a rock, a foundation cornerstone. And you are a willow, deeply rooted, with a canopy of both light and shade, yet with enough sway to bend in seeking out literature that spans across time, not fearing the new and not remaining staid in the old. It's a powerful thing when a kid reads something set in the world today only to discover it again in literature of the past. Their world view is suddenly not so black and white; you're giving them the chance to remove the blinders they weren't aware they had. As parents we see the after-effects, but you walk/lead this journey with them. I'm grateful for your being their guide and pushing them to think for themselves; to seek, read, reflect...to be thoughtful.

The person who amazes and inspires me the most... Watching you grow and learn for 18 years has been the delight and privilege of my life... Your boundless joy, creativity, and curiousity made for never a dull moment... Your sheer excitement in experiencing something new was contagious...every first whether music, books, art, first time watching the Olympics, each trip to the ocean... Now you're continuing your journeys of discovery at Tilton and beyond and your peers will enjoy those moments with you. You are thriving at Tilton and this is only the start... So much more to discover and give in and to the world... I am grateful to all those who made it possible for you to have had these three years at Tilton. The friendships you have made will last a lifetime. So many people at Tilton, currently and long before you got there, have made now possible, and I mean everyone... From the alumni who serve with their time and money to the mega donors that have given enormous sums to the school to the people who cook and clean and fix and repair and maintain, day in, day out, to the teachers who work endlessly as triple assets... Teaching, living, coaching, mentoring, 24/7, right along with you. This has been a major turning point in your life - I'm so very proud of you for making the most of it in such a positive way. You rock, Bebop!!

Remy is so very missed. Many of us are so lucky to have known her... Her spirit and warmth still radiate on this campus, in the ether, and in the hearts of the greater Tilton community. She touched so many, many people. I remain happy & grateful to have known her and John Elfring and wish my daughter had known them both, since meeting them as an infant doesn't count! 18 years later and Remy's presence is marked in multiple ways... I am so heartened by the people of Tilton who worked to honor Remy and preserve her legacy.

Two dreamers who made seemingly impossible things happen and I was lucky enough to witness some of those magical moments. They have each left a deep and lasting impact, each in their own inimitable way, on Tilton that is still reverberating. They embody spirit and vision.
